I recently discovered Wordpress as an easy to use content manage system. I designed a website for a friend in Germany, www.inopleiding.de. He is now able to create pages, news posts, and all of that in an easy way and a search engine friendly way. Also the enormous load of plugins is quite handy!
Today I organised my weblog and social websites a little bit. I use Hyves (a dutch social networking site), Facebook and Flickr. This evening I combined those websites by using RSS imports on the social networking sites. The way I post a blog now:
I either write it in Wordpress or in Flickr, depending if the photo is the subject
Hyves imports the blog RSS feed, and imports the Flickr photostream as RSS
Facebook imports the blog as a note, and I use MyFlickr to display the photos
This way I only have to update one website, and let RSS do the rest! How do you update your websites?
As you might know, I have a new Nokia e71 phone. Great phone by the way! But on the phone there is an application called Barcode Scanner. I didn’t know what to do with it. I tried to scan barcodes, but nothing happened.
Today I was surfing on the internet, and read something about QR codes. They told Nokia phones are compatible with those codes, and can read them. So I was really excited, and opened the application, scanned the picture, and guess what: it worked! I think this is a great way for supermarkets to provide more information about products, or other shops to provide reviews and stuff like that!
If you want to know how to create a code yourself, grab your Nokia, and scan this picture!
